Malcolm Greensmith
Malcolm Greensmith was born near the Isle of Ely and developed his appreciation of nature at an early age. His father worked with Shire horses and rural crafts, and introduced Malcolm to studying and painting wildlife and pastoral scenes. The aspiring artist further developed his talents while attending Wisbech Grammar School and Kibworth Beauchamp in Leicestershire. He then completed his formal studies in Fine Art at Leicester College of Art. He admires the works of Charles Tunnicliffe, a wildlife artist, Rowland Hilder, landscapes and Norman Rockwell, figurative art and finally James Bama. To date Malcolm is known for his fine art prints in England, Europe and the USA. His work has also been placed onto collector’s items such as Royal Doulton plates. Malcolm Greensmith is also a renowned military artist.

Over the years Malcolm's work has been sold in the US and Holland. His designs followed and sometimes lead the new trends and fashions of the time, building up a large portfolio of artwork along the way. Malcolm has also been asked to design stamps for the Royal Mail and has had artwork placed on Royal Doulton chinawares.

In 2009 we commissioned Malcolm to paint a scene which captures the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The picture is named Celebrating Sport and is on the second page of Malcolm's Gallery.
